This page contains details of how you can get involved with the OME project.

Getting Involved

OME is an open-source software project. A major aspect of OME is its interactions with academic and commercial developers. We are happy to support new users and developers.

Useful links for Developers

The OME server source is available, under LGPL, either from the OME trac or direct from the subversion repository.
http://cvs.openmicroscopy.org.uk/svn/ome/
Note that the current snapshot may be much changed from the previous stable release. For installation queries, email the OME Users list.

The OMERO server and client source is available, under GPL, either from the OMERO trac or direct from the subversion repository.

For questions about the roadmap, contact Jason Swedlow.

Mailing List Details

For support with installation and general use or miscellaneous queries please subscribe to ome-users here:
http://lists.openmicroscopy.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/ome-users/

To participate in developer discussions and get developer support please subscribe to ome-devel here:
http://lists.openmicroscopy.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/ome-devel/

For both lists an archive of previous emails is available.

Note: ome-devel and ome-users are moderated, members only lists. If you wish to post, become a member as outlined above.

Meetings and Conference Calls

We hold regular conference calls and occasional face-to-face meetings to discuss both the details and broad direction of our work. Minutes of these are available here. If you wish to join the discussion or add agenda items to forthcoming meeting please contact us in the Developers list or Jason Swedlow directly.

Help Promote the OME Group

Several items featuring with the OME logo are available for purchase in The OME store at CafePress.
